TIP
I personally have a home page at just about all of these
services and use them all to upload page clusters like this group of promotional
pages. Having a lot of different addresses can be confusing but if you
can access all of them with the same FTP program then it is just a matter
of dividing your website up into files of related pages and then promote
each one as a unique homepage and then have all of them interlinked as
one site hosted on many servers. Between the bunch of these you can have
a huge amount of webspace available to play with. Alternately you can have
one main site and use the others as mere entrances or as mirror sites of
the original. Any way, it is fun.
TIP
Before you go out and grab a dozen pages first open your
text editor and create a file called homepages or something like that.
Then paste all of the vital information from each service such as your
home page and email addresses, passwords, login names etc. I like to keep
it simple and use the same info at each one so that I don't have to fumble
around looking for each one when I need it.
TIP
You will definately want to get this
ftp program that I use, This means File Transfer Protocal and
is a good way to get the files off of your computer and onto somebody elses.
If you ever get your own web domain name and the whole bit, this is how
you will need to get the files to your server. Like anything it seems hard
at first but really it is a breeze once you figure out how simple it is.
